OUR GOALS
Kananga 2025 Scholars. ©Foundation Humanité
More specifically, and to avoid trying to do everything at once, the Humanité Foundation has chosen education as its primary area of focus and agriculture as a secondary one. Interventions in education may include the construction and management of schools, the awarding of scholarships, literacy programs for women and single mothers, the organization of vocational training, the capacity-building of teaching and administrative staff, and various forms of assistance provided to other schools to improve their operations. Agriculture, for its part, remains the easiest way to lift a person out of social vulnerability and is also a primary source of the revenue the Foundation needs to fund its activities.
In addition to the education and agriculture sectors, the Humanité Foundation may also, when necessary and to achieve its primary objectives, take action in the fields of the environment and health.
More specifically, and with a view to achieving its objectives, the Foundation intends to act through the areas briefly described below:
1
Establish and manage schools to ensure a higher quality of education in all its forms and to provide access to education for vulnerable and disadvantaged groups in society;
4
Advocate for the protection of the ecosystem, protect the environment, and combat environmental degradation by proposing and implementing measures for environmental restoration and conservation, primarily in areas where educational and agricultural projects are being developed;
7
Organize capacity-building training for teaching and administrative staff, with the specific aim of improving the quality of education;
2
Provide technical and material support, as needed, to community initiatives aimed at empowering vulnerable individuals and strengthening social cohesion;
5
Promote, support, and implement projects in the field of agriculture, particularly by training and guiding vulnerable populations in farming techniques and in the establishment of agro-pastoral cooperatives;
8
To undertake and implement any project, activity, or initiative aimed at providing relief support to vulnerable populations, primarily in the fields of education and agriculture.
3
Organize vocational training programs for vulnerable segments of society to teach them a trade that will enable them to become socially and financially independent, particularly through income-generating activities;
6
Assist other schools by renovating their facilities, providing school supplies and equipment, and ensuring their administrative records are in order so that they can operate in full compliance with the law;
9
Provide scholarships to vulnerable children;
